So the time has come for you to finally submit your logbook!!! How exciting!

Well before you get too excited there are a few things you need to know or do, we have written them below for you.

It is Queensland Transports preference that you have completed over 100 hours in your logbook including your 10 hours of night driving plus have completed 12 months on your Learners permit, once you have met these you can submit your logbook into any Australia Post.

Important things to remember:

  1. You must sign the logbook and have your supervisor sign their section also. Please remember you MUST be 17 years or older to be a ‘legal’ person to sign this book, if signed earlier Queensland Transport will send the logbook back to you.
  2. Make sure all entries are filled in correctly and completely, check all adding up and any information missing or incorrect will cause your logbook to be sent back to you.
  3. You MUST allow 12 business days from the date of submitting your book to Australia Post before booking your driving test. If you book prior to the 12 busienss days you may be disappointed this timeframe is a requirement by Queensland Transport given the amount of logbooks they receive each day for marking.
  4. There is a loop hole in the process for those people who have a driving test booked within 6 business days of their 17thbirthday, where their 12 month anniversary falls on their 17thbirthday, if a test is already booked ONLY within this timeframe, you can take your logbook into your local Queensland Transport customer service centre, advise them of your impending test booking and they can accept your logbook to check prior to your test booking. This is not an advertised procedure, they do prefer for you to follow the correct procedure through Australia Post.
  5. During the process of finalising your logbook, checking and planning to submit it call the team at Streetwise Driver Training who can book your driving test for you.

Most tests are conducted between 8am and 3.35pm, Monday to Friday. There are some Saturday tests available on a fortnightly basis for those of you who cannot attend between Monday and Friday, these tests are reserved for driving school use ONLY, so you will need to speak to your Streetwise driving instructor or the Admin team to arrange and book these Saturday tests. They do cost a little extra, which is a pass-through cost for overtime rates paid to the Examiners for working on Saturdays.

If you would like to know more about the Logbook process, booking a driving testbetween Monday and Saturday please give Streetwise Driver Training a call, it is our pleasure to support you in this exciting process!
